The network design defined VLANs, firewall policy, and device requirements. This series covers the actual MikroTik configuration — CCR2004 router and CRS317 switch, from factory reset to production.

Configuration grows with the cluster. Each phase adds only what’s needed:

Summary (Implementation phases)
  1. Phase 0 — Minimal config for validation (hardware and SNO). Two VLANs (Frontnet + Backnet), one node, factory reset to working network. Includes the VLAN 1 lesson that cost hours of debugging.
  2. Post-SNO — LACP bonds, jumbo frames, additional node ports, and expanded VLAN assignments. (coming soon)

Start with Phase 0 to see the base configuration and the VLAN 1 gotcha.
